I always wished to get a life filled with fun, enthusiasm and learning, all at the same time. Some said it didn’t exist. Guess, they never heard about SALESFORCE.
Saurabh Sharma (@SaurabhSFDC)
Now that you’re reading this blog, I am already a part of the Salesforce community. But that’s not where I started from. Ever since I was a fresher at college and even before that, I was this little package of energy and excitement about life and its wide range of possibilities. I’d always been drawn towards interacting with new people and ideas and being an extroverted person made it easier for me.
I had a significant share of fun during the course of my bachelor’s degree: having a carefree lifestyle, making a few great memories with my friends but amidst all the fun, there was always a sense of sincerity within me when it came to my career and a job and that helped me grab the job of a developer at a reputed MNC by the end of 2018.
But the thirst to get the best had not quenched. I did not feel satisfied and so, I looked out for more. Fortunately, I learned about Salesforce 😉.
INTRODUCTION TO SALESFORCE
During the 7th semester, I got the opportunity to attend a Salesforce community event held at my college which was organized by our Salesforce Student Community.
Mr. Shishir Shishodia (Senior Manager, Salesforce Solution Architect, Cognizant) and Mr. Udit Rana (Senior Salesforce Developer, IBM) came to the event to provide the students a session that helped us learn about the Salesforce Ecosystem. That is when I discovered that Salesforce was completely based on cloud computing.
I interacted with the student leader of the SFDC Community, Aviral Agarwal who provided me with a lot of information about Salesforce. So, did some more research for myself and eventually, realized that Salesforce was what I had been looking for all along.
LEARNING THROUGH TRAILHEAD
Another student leader at SFDCMIET and friend Shivam Kumar Dhama introduced me to the fun way of learning Salesforce through TRAILHEAD. Trailhead is a free-platform that has detailed content for learning. Whenever I got stuck while earning badges, SFDCMIET helped me a lot.
SALESFORCE OHANA AND COMMUNITY EVENTS
During the month of April, I found out about <DevWeekend> Hyderabad- an employer connect event organized by the Salesforce Developer Relations Team, India through Aviral.
I went to Hyderabad to attend the same.
It was an amazing event and I got the chance to meet some awesome trailblazers there. The love and support I received from Salesforce OHANA were appreciable.
MY JOURNEY TO MY DREAM JOB
During the <DevWeekend> event, I appeared for an interview for the developer’s job at Nagarro. After an interesting interview session about my knowledge in Salesforce, technical and other skills for around 25 minutes, fortunately, I got selected in Nagarro. Finally, I’d found my dream job. I am thankful to Nagarro for giving me an opportunity to begin my career in Salesforce.
(BE A MULTIPLIER) BAM!!
Along with all the great things we learn in Salesforce, learning and sharing are the most important values that we focus upon in the Trailblazer Community.
We are now sharing our knowledge with our friends, new grads and juniors so that they too can learn and grow with the awesome Salesforce Ecosystem.
It can all be summed up to 3 steps:
